Summer Camps at Living and Learning Enrichment Center
Join us this summer for an enriching, fun-filled experience designed specifically for teens and young adults with disabilities.
Our camps are based at our 12-acre property, conveniently located on the border of Novi and Northville, and offer a safe, welcoming environment where campers can explore their interests, develop social and job skills, and make lasting friendships.

2024 Summer Camp Dates and Prices
Our camps run from June 24th through August 15th, with options to attend weekly:
- Camp Lotus: $475/Week – A nurturing program designed to promote social skills and personal growth.
- Camp Willow: $525/Week – Tailored for those seeking a deeper engagement through specialized activities.

Summer Camp 2024 Weekly Themes
Week 1, June 24-27, 2024: Living and Learning’s Got Talent
Get ready to ignite your passion and let your talents shine at Living and Learning’s Got Talent, where we’re kicking off the summer with a burst of creativity and self-discovery! Throughout the week, campers will embark on a journey of exploration, participating in activities to dive deep into their unique strengths, values, and skills in anticipation of the optional talent showcase at the end of the week. However, our focus extends far beyond performance – it’s about personal growth too. Campers will have the opportunity to learn invaluable social skills such as mastering the art of making introductions, engaging in meaningful conversations about their interests, and social cues, among others. Week 2, July 1-3, 2024: Party in the USA
Get ready for star-spangled summertime adventures and celebrate the Party in the USA! Wear your red, white, and blue, and get ready for a week filled with themed activities, adventures, and plenty of fun surprises! From exciting crafts to games and delicious treats, campers will experience an unforgettable week of excitement and exploration in the spirit of America’s birthday. This week’s social skills focus extends beyond the usual camp activities – campers will have the opportunity to learn about self-advocacy, respecting boundaries, and more! Come join the Party in the USA and let your social skills sparks fly!
Week 3, July 8-11, 2024: Beach Bash
Dive into summer fun and join the Beach Bash! Get ready for a week of sun, sand, and endless adventure as we soak up all the beach vibes. More than just sandcastles and sunscreen – our focus extends beyond the coastline to teach campers vital life and social skills. From learning about community safety and interactions to discussing water safety, this week is designed to empower campers with the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate any adventure. Our themed crafts and activities will transport you to a beachside oasis right on campus! And who knows? Our field trip might just take us straight to the beach itself! Ride the waves of excitement and experience the ultimate summer escape at our Beach Bash!
Week 4, July 15-18, 2024: Culinary Creations
It’s time to turn up the heat and unleash your inner chef as we explore the exciting world of Culinary Creations. Roll up your sleeves, grab your apron, and unleash your inner chef through hands-on activities designed to enhance life skills that extend far beyond the kitchen. Throughout the week, campers will learn essential skills from budgeting techniques and mastering the art of creating a personalized grocery list to growing their own fresh ingredients. As we cook and craft, campers will not only sharpen their cooking skills but also cultivate confidence, teamwork, and creativity. Week 5, July 22-25, 2024: Animal Planet
Get ready for an exhilarating adventure as we journey into the wonders of the Animal Planet! Excitement awaits as campers embark on a thrilling exploration of unique creatures inhabiting our world. Throughout the week, campers will immerse themselves in a world of discovery, participating in various themed projects and games crafted to ignite curiosity and cultivate vital life skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and teamwork. Campers will have the chance to interact with animals on our farm, fostering empathy and gaining firsthand insights into the animal kingdom. Welcome to Olympics Week, where the excitement of the Olympics meets the thrill of summer camp! Campers will have the chance to immerse themselves in the Olympics through our own Living and Learning Olympic Week Games! Throughout the week, campers will engage in specially designed Olympic-inspired activities and games, fostering vital life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and goal setting. Week 7, August 5-8, 2024: Water World
Embark on an exhilarating aquatic journey like no other as you plunge into the depths of adventure at Water World! Alongside water-based activities, Water World offers land-based adventures that continue to foster social growth and personal development. At Water World, every camper is empowered to make waves not just at camp, but in their communities and beyond. Week 8, August 12-15, 2024: Adventureland
At Adventureland, the spirit of adventure knows no bounds and the journey is just as important as the destination. Through engaging activities, campers learn invaluable life and social skills such as conflict resolution, compromise, and teamwork. At Adventureland, every moment is an opportunity for growth, exploration, and fun.
