Job Coach- Immediate ($15-$18 per hour)

Job Description:
Job coaches will work directly with Living and Learning members in the local community to develop job skills, promote problem-solving, self-advocacy, and independence, as well as foster a supportive and nurturing environment. This involves supporting our members in learning to complete job tasks, providing emotional and behavioral support, and monitoring and evaluating the progress of members with the goal of transitioning them into long-term employment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Execute job coaching plans made specific to each member.
  • Promote independence and efficiency while also ensuring the wellbeing of members.
  • Help in the development of motivation and skills.
  • Formally document member information and progress notes.

Qualifications:
Minimum Experience

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years experience in similar field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in comparable studies.

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s License

Summer Camp Counselor - Seasonal ($16-$17 per hour)

We are seeking individuals dedicated to positively impacting the lives of teens and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. In this fulfilling role, you will play a crucial part in creating a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering personal growth, and ensuring a memorable summer camp experience. This is a seasonal position during the summer camp period, with additional opportunities within the organization throughout the year. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive activities for teens and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Foster a positive and supportive camp environment, ensuring the wellbeing of all campers and other staff.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to campers during all activities and outings.
  • Collaborate with and maintain open and effective communication with fellow counselors and other staff to ensure a cohesive summer camp experience.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to working with individuals with autism.
  • Uphold the values and mission of the Living and Learning Enrichment Center in all interactions and activities.
  • Commitment to respecting camper dignity and autonomy with emphasis on promoting independence and self-expression.

 Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Previous experience in a camp setting, special education, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player, with a keen attention to communication.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to various needs.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must pass background checks and adhere to ethical standards.

 

Social Skills Program Facilitators (starting at $15.25 per hour)

We are looking for kind-hearted, fun loving, energetic, patient, and compassionate individuals to join our Social Program Facilitator Team to help provide a fun and safe experience for our members. Our enriching programs focus on social, life, and job skills while making friends and having fun!
 
Requirements:
– Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background check
– Responsible for supervision of members
– Experience working with children or teen
– Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred
– Encourage and actively engage our members in activities
– Demonstrate respect and sensitivity to the needs of each member
– Ability to be flexible and work well with others

Bookkeeper

General Statement of Responsibilities:

Living and Learning Enrichment Center has a unique opportunity in our Accounting and Finance team. In addition to the traditional role of monthly accounting responsibilities, this position will work closely with the Controller to continue to enhance the accounting systems and processes to provide more meaningful information for management decision making.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the LLEC payroll processing
  • Coordinate with others regarding invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Accountable for managing and recording cash received from a variety of sources
  • Coordinate with others to record donations and grants. Assist with tracking restricted donations and grants.
  • Provide guidance related to bills and the accounts payable process
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and enter journal entries and draft monthly financial statements
  • Develops and maintains a complete set of clear and easy-to-follow Standard Operating Procedures for the specific job responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist
  • Coordinates with management on finance-related topics
  • Performs other functions delegated by the Controller

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two-year college degree in Business/Accounting or 4+ years of equivalent experience
  • QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel experience required
  • Knowledge of donor and third-party billing software is preferred
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving/critical thinking
  • Ability to satisfactorily meet deadlines
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-programmed service agency and to work independently in a hybrid environment
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
